FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE BroComp, Inc. Sponsors Fourth Annual Christian Music EventChristian "Fais Do Do" or Block Party is a huge successSeptember 25, 20042 -- BroComp, Inc. sponsored a youth-oriented this weekend, and the event was a tremendous success. Timed to occur during one of the most popular South Louisiana festivals, the Sugarcane Festival, this event featured Christian music only. All ages were invited and all ages attended. This festival typically is home to a number of music events at which alcoholic beverages abound, and the former "family" atmosphere has been abandoned for hard partying attitude. The music ministry at Sacred Heart Catholic Church that ministers to the high school teens had in the past set up their band on a tractor-trailer and participated in the largest parade of the festival with 100 or so youth riding on the truck with them. They played only Christian music, and were very well received in spite of their obvious contrast to the typical festival goers. The participants from Sacred Heart were obviously full of life and joy, and were unabashedly Christian. In spite of this success, this Life Teen Music Ministry, otherwise known as "His House Band," was frustrated by the small number of youth that could participate due to the size of the tractor-trailer and explored other avenues to enhance the participation. This led to the suggestion of a "Fais Do Do" which is a kind of traditional block party. This would have the advantage of allowing hundreds of people participate and would give the band the advantage of a fixed platform for praying their music. That's right pray the music, not just play. Each song is a prayer, whether it is jumping up and down dance prayer, or head-bowed meditation prayer. Fourth Annual FREE
